Hi, everybody! It's me, Derek Zeman the famous blogger. I am here today to talk to you all about going to see Oz: the Great and Powerful on Sunday. Tammy, Natalie, Becky, Alex and I went to the Showtime Theater in Franklin Sunday and I got to pay for my movie ticket for Oz: the Great and Powerful because it was worth twenty dollars. Then Tammy had to pay for one large popcorn so Tammy and I got to share it, and Natalie bought herself a kiddie popcorn and a small drink. Then we all walked into the auditorium and we were all ready to see Oz: the Great and Powerful. The movie was about Oz, played by James Franco, who got into his hot-air balloon because he saw a tornado coming. Oz was going around and around in the tornado when suddenly, he found himself in a magical land called Oz. Oz was so happy to be there when he saw a witch wearing a red hat, and she was played by Mila Kunis. The witch said to Oz, "You're in Oz." And Oz said, "Well, I must had been dreaming, so now I can follow the yellow brick road to go to the Emerald City with you." The witch in the red hat said, "Of course, but you have to meet my sister who lives in the Emerald City." Oz was filled with fairies, a lion, a tiny china glass girl, a talking monkey who pretends to be a hotel doorman, many flying baboons, scarecrows and of course, the Munchkins! My favorite character in Oz: the Great and Powerful is Glinda, the Good Witch of the South. Glinda was played by Michelle Williams, and she helps Oz build a contraption from out of a horse carriage and Glinda was captured by two wicked witches. Glinda used her magic wand to free herself from those chains and she casted a magical spell to get the two wicked witches away from the flying baboons and the soldiers. At the end of the movie, Oz told Glinda that he will become the Wonderful Wizard of Oz, and Glinda said yes. So they kissed in the tent and loved each other so much. Oz: the Great and Powerful was a wonderful movie, and I really liked it, and so did Natalie, Tammy, Becky and Alex! I sure hope my dad would like to see Oz: the Great and Powerful when I would like to see it again. Well, everybody, I gotta go now and remember that Oz: the Great and Powerful was a wonderful movie to see and I like Glinda because she's my favorite character in the movie. See you soon, and I am always a very good and famous blogger! Bye-bye!

Hello, Uncle Richard! I'm here on my blog today to talk to you about going to see the movie Lincoln on Saturday. My dad and I went to Showtime Cinema in Franklin and my dad bought us two tickets for the movie Lincoln on Saturday. Then we walked to the concession stand and we bought us two large tubs of popcorn and two large sodas. Then my dad and I were all ready to see Lincoln! Lincoln was about the 16th president of the United States named Abraham Lincoln, played by Daniel Day-Lewis. It took place in the year 1865, where President Lincoln was inaugurated for his second term in office. He had a wife named Mary Todd Lincoln, who was played by Sally Field. While in the movie, Uncle Richard, President Lincoln was telling his cabinet about the Emancipation Proclamation he read in 1863, the Civil War and many Civil War generals that were dead and wounded. The North finally won the Civil War in 1865, and President Lincoln announced that he and his cabinet were going to find many dead Civil War generals lying outside on the battlefield grounds, and they did found them bleeding and wounding and being assassinated on the ground. Abraham Lincoln said to his cabinet, "Well, the Civil War is finally over now, so we can go back to Washington, D.C. to continue on our work." It was April of 1865, and at Ford's Theater in Washington, D.C., Our American Cousin was playing, and during the play John Wilkes Booth yelled to everyone in the audience, "President Abraham Lincoln is shot! He's assassinated! Sic Semper Tyrannis!" And everyone was crying and screaming about President Lincoln being assassinated by John Wilkes Booth. At the end of the movie, Uncle Richard, President Lincoln was dead and was lying his dead body in bed, and in his thoughts he heard himself saying a wonderful speech to the people of the United States. Lincoln was a great movie, Uncle Richard! My dad and I really enjoyed it and we also liked it! I sure hope Lincoln would win an Academy Award for Best Picture this year. Well, Uncle Richard, it sure was nice talking to you on my blog, and I'm signing off now because I will be seeing you soon sometime in April because you have a Spring Concert to conduct at Beaver Dam High School. Good-bye, Uncle Richard, and remember that your favorite nephew Derek is always a very good blogger! See ya!

Hello, everybody! My name is Derek Zeman, and today on my blog I'm gonna talk about some movies that I'm gonna see. First, I'm gonna see the Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, which is the movie that's directed by Peter Jackson. It was based on a book by J.R.R. Tolkien, and it's also the first series before the Lord of the Rings trilogy. The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey has lots of wonderful and amazing characters, such as a hobbit named Bilbo Baggins who lives in the Shire, and Gandalf, a magical wizard that helps Bilbo go on a journey and defeat all the evil villains. Yesterday I talked to my sister Becky that she and I would like to go see the Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey someday, and my little niece Natalie would like to go along, too, if she wants to. The next movie that I'm gonna see is Lincoln. It's a movie with Daniel Day-Lewis, Sally Field and Tommy Lee Jones. Lincoln is about the 16th president of the United States named Abraham Lincoln, who goes through his life by marrying his wife named Mary Todd Lincoln, reading the Gettysburg Address during the Civil War, and being assassinated by John Wilkes Booth while he was watching a play at Ford's Theater. Uncle Richard told me about seeing Lincoln with my dad someday, and that will be a great movie to see because Uncle Richard had already seen it. Next, I'm gonna see Oz: the Great and Powerful, and it's also the movie that's coming to theaters in March. Maybe on my birthday, my sister Becky would be taking me and Natalie to go see Oz: the Great and Powerful. It has witches, a wizard who voices over the great and powerful Oz, fairies, and lots more fantasy characters. Going to see Oz: the Great and Powerful would be a very good thing to do while celebrating my birthday. I don't know any other movies that I'm gonna see this year, but I'm gonna have to wait to find out. Well, everybody, I'm gonna talk about what movies I got for Christmas. I got the Avengers, the Dark Knight Rises, Dr. Seuss' The Lorax, the movie Brave and the Rocky Horror Picture Show on Blu-ray. That's all five movies that I got so far for Christmas! And now that's enough movies that I'm gonna see this year for today, so I'm gonna go now and tell my whole family that I'm gonna see the Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, Lincoln, and Oz: the Great and Powerful that's coming in March. See ya, everybody, and remember that I am a very good blogger! Bye!

Hi, Becky! It's your favorite brother, Derek. I'm here on my blog to talk to you about going to Planet Fitness with my dad. Every other day, my dad and I go to Planet Fitness on 27th and Morgan. Becky, you've been to the Planet Fitness on 27th and Morgan for a very long time. I always put my Planet Fitness number in my wallet for when we go there to workout. When my dad and I go to Planet Fitness every other day except on my bath days, we have to show our numbers to the owner who runs there. Then we can walk to the locker room so we can put our coats in our lockers. Then we can step up on the scale to see how much we weigh. And then we're all ready to workout! First, my dad and I went on the treadmills for 30 minutes. I pushed quick start on the treadmill and if I wanna go as fast as I usually can, I can just set the speed up to 2.5 or 3.0. I worked up a sweat by walking on the treadmill, and so did my dad. After we walked on the treadmills, Becky, we walked on over to the exercise bikes and we sat on them for 15 minutes. I started pedaling first and then I pushed quick start on the exercise bike. I pedaled and pedaled as fast as I can till my dad and I both worked up our sweats. After we pedaled on the exercise bikes, Becky, we walked to the arm curling machines and we did 10 of our arm curls. I also flexed up my muscles by counting to 10 and I did 10 more to see how strong I am. After we got done with our arm curls, Becky, my dad and I walked on over to the drinking fountain to drink water. After we drank water, we walked to the locker room again and stepped right up on the scale again to see what we weigh this time. My dad and I had a very great workout, Becky! Planet Fitness is just where I need to be to workout on the treadmill, the exercise bike and the arm curling machine so I can work up a sweat. Well, Becky, it's been nice talking to me while I'm writing on my blog about going to Planet Fitness with my dad to workout. My dad made a nice tuna salad for supper tonight that I'm gonna have for supper soon. I'm gonna go now, Becky, so I can meet you again to go see the Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey someday at a movie theater. Natalie would like to go with us if she wants to. Good-bye, Becky, and I'll see you soon!

Hey, Calvin! It's your best friend, Derek, and I'm here on my blog to tell you about your party I had. My dad dropped me off at your house so I can meet you, your friends, your mom Sheila and your dad David. First I played basketball for awhile till it got dark, then David called all of us to come have a weiner roast. So we went to the backyard and we each got a stick to put our hot dogs on. I put my hot dog on a stick, and then I walked to the campfire so I can roast my hot dog until it got hot and cooked. After that, I put my hot dog on a bun, filled it with ketchup, mustard and relish, got some baked beans, some chips, some vegetables and dip, two Halloween cookies and even some chocolate-covered pretzels. Then I found myself a chair over by the campfire and I sat on it and ate and ate my life away. Then Sheila said, "It's time to make some S'mores!" I was so excited to make a S'more for dessert, so I walked to the table and grabbed my stick. I put a giant marshmallow on it, and then I roasted it on the campfire until it got browned. Then I put my marshmallow on two pieces of graham cracker and also put chocolate on it. That's how I made a S'more, so I sat down next to the campfire and ate my delicious S'more. Then you came over to me and you said, "Derek, do you want to make a pumpkin by using toilet paper?" And I said, "Yeah, Calvin, let's do that!" So after we left the backyard where the campfire and the food was, we were ready to make our toilet paper pumpkins. The guys had to go to the patio and the girls had to go to the garage to make their pumpkins. I sat down on the patio chair and David gave me a roll of toilet paper, some orange lining and a green stem to get started working on my pumpkin. First I put orange lining around the toilet paper till it got orange, then I pushed in a green stem for the top of my pumpkin. When my pumpkin was finished, I got out a pen and a little orange post-it so I can write my name on it. I put my name inside the top of my pumpkin, and suddenly Sheila said, "It's time to go to the doughnut tree and eat doughnuts with our mouths! But remember, please put your hands behind your backs to do that, okay?" So me, Calvin, and Calvin's friends went over to the doughnut tree and there were a lot of apple cider doughnuts hanging from the tree. I found myself a doughnut hanging, so I put my hands behind my back and started eating the doughnut with my mouth. That was fun to do! After I ate the doughnut that was hanging from the tree, Sheila gave me my finished pumpkin made of toilet paper so I won't forget it, and then I waited for my dad to come pick me up. I had a really fun time at your party, Calvin, and remember, you can always say that I would like to come over to your house again someday so we can play basketball and watch some movies. When my dad pulled up to the side of the driveway, I said good-bye to Sheila, David, your friends, and even you, Calvin! Then I walked to the car, got in, put my seat belt on and showed my dad my pumpkin I made out of toilet paper. Then we drove home right from Calvin's house. It's getting late already, so I'll be getting out of my blog now, Calvin, and remember that your best friend, Derek, likes you so much! See ya, Calvin, and I'm signing off! Bye!

Hello, everyone! My name is Derek Zeman, and I'm here tonight to tell you about Peggy and John's wedding on Friday. My dad and I went to Burlington on Friday and we went to the Veteran's Memorial Hall at Echo Park. When we got there, we got a chance to meet Peggy's parents, John's children, my dad's cousin Joan, Karen, Lee, Denis, Kandi, Uncle Bob, Grandma Dolores, Grandpa Brian, Uncle Richard, Aunt Cheryl, Yvonne, and other people. The wedding ceremony was being held outside, so we went down the stairs and found ourselves two good chairs. It began at 5:30, so the bagpiper started playing his bagpipes, and one by one all the bridesmaids came down the stairs with their pretty bouquet of flowers, and the groomsmen were escorting them to the alter. Then finally it's the moment you've all been waiting for. Peggy was coming down the stairs looking beautiful in her dazzling wedding gown. She was being escorted by her father, and they walked down the aisle where Peggy's fiancee John, was waiting for her. The priest started reading in his book, and he told Peggy and John that they put the rings on his and her fingers, and they also noticed that they were being wed. After saying their I do's, John kissed Peggy on the lips at the end of the wedding ceremony. My dad and I were cheering and clapping our hands as Peggy and John ran from the alter and up the stairs because they were now husband and wife. Then we went up the stairs and met the bridesmaids, the groomsmen, the beautiful bride Peggy and her husband John. The wedding reception was at Liberty Hall inside, so my dad and I found ourselves a very good table with Uncle Richard and Aunt Cheryl sitting over by that table. The table had chocolates and flowers on it. When it's time for dinner, we went over to the dinner section and there we saw three different dinner courses, including the dessert course. First I had my first plate of cheese, crackers, a piece of bread with butter on it and olives. Then I had my second plate of corn chips, coleslaw, creamy pasta, a hamburger, a fish filet sandwich and a chicken sandwich. And last for my dessert, I had cheesecake with cherries and blueberries on it, a small cookie and a medium-sized brownie. Then I noticed I was full, so I went to the balcony outside and Uncle Richard, Aunt Cheryl and my dad and Grandma Dolores were also standing there. Uncle Richard told me about all 44 presidents, and when the train comes down on the track, Uncle Richard and I counted all the cars that were on the train and there were so many train cars to count. When we got back inside, we saw Peggy and John doing their first wedding dance on the dance floor. It was a beautiful dance by the bride and groom who were happily married! So I waited to dance until the famous country band started playing their classic country songs. I got up to the dance floor and Joan and I began to dance. We danced and danced when Joan told me that I was doing awesome on the dance floor and she kissed me. I also danced with Karen to the country music band, and Karen and I were doing great on the dance floor. I had a really nice time at Peggy and John's wedding, and I got to know everybody who were at the wedding, including Grandma Dolores and Uncle Richard, and even Uncle Bob. Well, everyone, since I'm almost done blogging about Peggy and John's wedding, I've gotta send Joan and Karen an email about dancing with them at the wedding. I'm going now, so please send me a comment about the wedding that my dad and I attended on Friday. Good-bye, everybody, and remember that I am a very good blogger! See ya!

Hello, everyone! It's me, Derek Zeman. Hey, Election Day is coming up in November, and I would like to decide which President I'm gonna vote for, Barack Obama or Mitt Romney. I'm a Democrat, and I would vote for Barack Obama because he's the first ever African American President who can run for his second term in 2012. Obama has got a lovely wife named Michelle Obama, and she's the First Lady of the United States. Barack and Michelle got two beautiful little girls named Sasha and Malia. They also got a dog in the White House. Barack Obama would be a great President than Mitt Romney, and maybe someday Obama and his Vice President, Joe Biden would like to come over to my house so they can meet my family and me and I would also like to shake the President's hand and tell him that I can go to Washington, D.C. with him and Vice President Biden. But enough about President Barack Obama, it's time for me to think about what I should do if I become President. If I became President of the United States, I should make up my own speech about the soldiers being killed and wounded in the future war. I could walk right into the Oval Office of the White House, and I could sit behind my desk and tell the people of the country, "Hello, my fellow Americans," and I could also tell them about the future war and on and on. I could also travel around the world and meet the folks who were very kind to me, such as the British, the Chinese, the Japanese, the French, the Germans, and even the Mexicans and the Australians. I would like to be called myself President Derek Zeman so I can be famous, smart and even more powerful. The people of the United States would like to vote for me on Election Day in November because I am the greatest President there is. Well, everyone, dinner would be almost ready, and I could smell the pork chops cooking on the oven because my father made them. That's all I know about me voting for Barack Obama for President again and me becoming President of the United States in the future. Maybe my best friend Calvin would like to see this when he comes over to my house someday. I gotta go now, everyone, so you all take care and remember, I love sending my blogs to you all. Good-bye for now!
